On the day that we took mom and dad to the SLC airport we had lunch at Rodizio's and stuffed ourselves! Then we spent the rest of the afternoon at Hogle Zoo. It was our first time there and we had a lot of fun! Brady loved the dinosaur exhibits and how they squirted water at you- Olivia was petrified of them!!!
Trolley Square where Rodizio's is- The kids had fun climbing the old water tower:
Elephants:
Dinosaurs!
The dinosaurs really were amazing! They moved around with lifelike motion, even their eyes! They roared and some spit water at you when you least expected it!
Carousel:
This was Olivia's favorite part of the whole zoo! She chose to ride on the bear and Brady was on the praying mantis next to her. Mom and dad took the kids on and they loved it! It is so hard to get a good picture on a carousel though!
Monkey Business:

Giraffes: The giraffes had a cool indoor area where you could go up to a second floor and see the giraffes while they ate more at eye level.
Leopard: Brady thought it was hilarious because they had a display where you put your nose up to some of a leopards' favorite scents. One of the scents happened to be cat urine (which smelled disgusting of course!) and he tricked my mom and Chris into smelling it. It was pretty funny to see him get such a kick out of tricking someone.
This peacock was so beautiful!
Two-humped camel
Prairie dog- there was an underground "cave" that you could go into to spy on the prarie dogs through round windows! It was pretty neat, but very hot in there!
The tortoise shell and egg displays:
