Halloween 2011

Chris carved pumpkins with Brady and Olivia while I enjoyed some snuggle time with Zachary.

On Halloween night my cousin, Ben and his wife, Rachel came to have a fun Halloween food dinner and trick-or-treat with us.

On the menu:
  • "Ghost Pizzas" (English muffin pizzas that were supposed to be white but got overcooked a little!!!)
  • "Backbones" (a.k.a. tortilla roll-ups with green chiles and cheese)
  • "Mummy dogs" (a.k.a. hot dogs wrapped up in crescent rolls)
  • Deviled "Eye" eggs

The guys took the kids out and Rachel, my mom and I stayed home with Zach to hand out candy (and we only got one trick-or-treater!!!)

I would say that Chris has got to be one of the best sports ever.  Not many men would go out in public wearing a costume like this!!!!

Chris also took the kids to our friends' Halloween carnival at their ward and they had a great time getting their faces painted and collecting lots of candy!

Costume breakdown this year:
  • Wigs: $6.21(Hats, spraypaint. Used leftover fur from Chris' costume)
  • Cat in the Hat: $12.54 (Fur, black fleece. Used red fleece and white felt I already had)
  • Thing 1/Thing 2: $10.85 (red sleeper and red fleece.  Used white and black felt I already had)TOTAL: $29.60
Originally I was going to be Sally and have the baby be "fish" but I decided that 1 week post-partum was agood enough excuse not to dress up this year!!!

5 days old... and meeting the family!!!!

5 days old

Grammie and Grandpa Graf came to meet baby Zach!   We spent the afternoon visiting with them, Great-Grandma Jones and Aunties Shawnae and Chelsae.  We had a nice time talking, holding the baby, and celebrating a late birthday for Grammie Graf and opening baby gifts for Zach.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

I scored this "I Love Lucy" Monopoly game at a thrift store in Montana and thought it would be the perfect collectible/fun gift for mom since she's such a Lucy fan

At her friend Lily's birthday party.  Olivia and I made these Rapunzel crowns, one for her and one for Lily.  She was so excited to give Lily the crown!  Aren't these two little princesses adorable!!!

2 days old...Coming Home.

Chris came and had lunch with me at the hospital prior to being "cleared" for discharge.  We promptly paid our hospital bill (don't want that hanging over our heads!) and then came home!!!!  He then had to head into work for a little bit so the kids and I had some time for everyone to get acquainted!

Olivia was flittering about ALL OVER Zach.  She wouldn't stop touching and kissing and patting him.  Again, Brady was more reserved but all smiles.  He said that his baby brother was the cutest baby in the world!  He is very proud and told all of his friends at school.

And when daddy got home from work I found him and Zachary asleep in the bedroom together!
