Fishbones: Lunch with GG and Papa Morgan

Chris had to fly back home a week before I did for a business conference in Utah.  We had a few rainy/cloudy days of what you could call rest and relaxation after being on the go for a week.  My Grammie and Grandpa invited us to lunch one afternoon which worked out perfectly because we had a playdate with friends after.

Fishbones

Olivia re-discovered lemons and loved to suck on them
(something that me, my Grammie and Brady also love to do!)

This was the first time EVER that Olivia let Grammie ("GG") hold her!

She had already bonded with Grandpa ("Papa") when they came for a few days to visit in May

Around the "farm"

My mom grew up on a farm and has always wanted a small farm and she finally did it!!!  This past spring she got chickens and pigs.  She had thought that she got all hens but it ended up that "Esther" is really an "Edward!"  She was given this cute little chicken coop by the neighbors down the road and then she added a larger coop off of the side.  It came out really great!

Brady loved to help feed and water the chickens every day and he loves to collect eggs too but they won't be laying until sometime this fall

Olivia finally overcame her fear of the chickens and went inside the coop one day and helped grammie put down fresh sawdust.

Meet "Slurp" and "Burp"
(growing up on the farm my mom always had pigs and this was always their name!)

Grammie has missed her little "farm boy!"

Chasing the piggies!

Some of moms' beautiful flowers in the gardens all around the house!

Day 5: Somesville Bridge Family Pictures, 50th Birthday Party, Sea Wall and Cadillac Mountain Sunset

This is one of my very favorite "spots" in the world...it is so beautiful and charming

50th Birthday Party!!!
We celebrated Annie's SUPRISE birthday party with her, Greg and their youngest, Andrew!  Greg did a great job and even had ballons, cake, ice cream, and appetizers: shrimp, goldfish crackers (for our young "friends" and strawberries)

Sea Wall:
After our little party we drove to the south end of the island to a rocky beach area with paths called Sea Wall for a nice Sunday walk

Greg doing what he does best- playing with the kids!

Sunset on Cadillac Mountain:
From there we drove back into Acadia National Park to drive up Cadillac Mountain (the highest point on the eastern seaboard) for a fantastic sunset...the pictures I got do not do the surrounding beauty justice!
It was cold and windy up there so Andrew wrapped Brady up inside his T-shirt!

You can see part of the sandbar that is just at the end of the road from our beach house
